Quality Care and Education in a Christian Environment
First Preschool has been providing a quality educational program in a Christian environment since 1992. During the school year preschool programming is offered to children ages 3 – 5 years old. All children enrolled in our day care attend morning preschool at no additional cost to parents.
In 2009 First Preschool added year round day care for children ages two to five years old, and summer program for children five to eleven years old.
Infant and toddler care is offered at The Baby Place, a licensed infant and toddler center located in the Ziemer building adjacent to First UMC. First Preschool & Day Care and The Baby Place are open from 6:30 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday – Friday.

The Pre-K class reinforces social skills and focuses on kindergarten readiness by using play to teach early learning reading and math skills. Two teachers provide this group with one-to-one time for each child, as well as small and large group activities. This class uses the "Handwriting Without Tears" curriculum, and includes Scholastic "Let's Find Out", Music Enrichment and "Lunch Bunch." Bring a nutritious bag lunch and dress for outdoor play.
3 Year-olds

The 3 year-old class emphasizes group interaction and social development through age-appropriate activities. Music, art, sensory play, and Bible time are just of few of the activities offered in this program.
2 Year-olds
Little Lambs
We follow a Christian Toddler Curriculum which includes small and large group activities, art, music and movement, Bible time, outdoor play, and teacher assisted free play which promotes positive social skills.
