At First Church, we love the Lord and we love kids! We hope you will bring your kids to church for Sunday School, and other programs throughout the week. We offer ministry programs for infants through fifth grade. For your convenience, all of our classrooms, including our nursery, are now located on the second floor of the church. We have great Sunday School leaders and teachers who are so excited to be teaching your kids about Jesus. To help provide a safe environment, we ask you to check your kids in at our check-in station on the second floor where a volunteer will happily assist you. You’ll give your child a name tag, and keep the family return tag for check out.
During the 8:45 AM worship service (during the second hymn) 3 year-olds to 5th graders may go to Kids' Fellowship, ushered by a Kids' Ministry volunteer. This is a time for kids to interact, play games, and participate in playing or singing songs that will correspond with the Sunday School theme for each week. All kids will be in the K-5 Sunday School room on the second floor.
If you also love the Lord, love kids, and would enjoy helping out, please email Logan Pourchot at

Kindergarten to Grade 5 in Room 204
Our great teachers will bring Bible stories to life and help kids know God's Word in a fun and personal way. Throughout the year, we’ll walk chronologically through some of the most important stories of the Bible. Kids will learn and discuss ways we can live out the lesson from each story. We will also include a time of worship and dance, prayer, and simple scripture memorization to help kids develop core spiritual habits.
Preschoolers (3 to 5 year-olds) in Room 210
Each Sunday, our Preschoolers will have a great time meeting and playing with other kids as well as learning about God through an interactive teaching using Arch Books, which are a fun, yet effective way of portraying stories from the Bible. We’ll ask a Big Idea Question, and kids will learn the answer as we discuss the lesson of the day. We’ll work our way through the Bible chronologically throughout the year. Kids will also explore different ways to connect with God through a time of song and dance, prayer, and even simple scripture memorization.
