First Daycare Now Open

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Daycare is now available weekly in the lower level of First UMC.  We are accepting enrollments. We are licensed to serve 2 – 10 year olds with before and after school  age care, including days when the schools are not in session for the 2009-2010 school year.

On June 8, 2009, First Preschool began operating a daycare for children 2 – 5years olds.  Over the summer, the basement level of First UMC has been active Monday – Friday from 6:15 am. to 5:30 p.m. with children.  Our daycare is staffed by licensed teachers who provide a warm caring Christian atmosphere in a child friendly environment.  Church members and the community are welcome to check out our programs and facilities. Schedules include full time, part time, drop in and hourly to meet the needs of working parents.  All children in daycare must pay a registration fee and submit completed forms before attending. Fees are paid by check or cash prior to the week attending.

Breakfast and snacks are provided by parents on a rotational basis.  Lunch is provided by Konop vending for an additional $2.25 per meal.

HOW DO WE OPERATE?

Doors open at 6:15 a.m. and breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m. followed by a relaxed play time until 9:00 a.m.

Two year olds will continue with their care-givers and take part in age appropriate activities while the older children are away. Lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. followed by a rest time.

Fees cover programming into First Preschool which operates September – May.

Three year olds will transition over to the preschool where they will join their teachers for their 9 – 11:30 session of preschool. Four and five year olds will go to their preschool classroom for their 9 – 1:00 session.

After the preschool program, the 3's and 4's will transition into after school care with there care-givers.  Activities will include, but not be limited to; rest time, afternoon snack, free play, small group activities and outdoor play when weather permits. Pick- up is dependent on parent's needs. Our doors close at 5:30 p.m.

WHAT DO WE CHARGE?

Full time Daycare Registration Fee = $100.00/child/year

Full time = over 5 hours to a maximum of 10 hours in daycare 4 – 5 days/week.

Rates for Full time and Daycare

4- 5 days weekly/child = $150.00   (A 10% discount for each additional child)

Part-Time Registration Fee = $50.00/child/year.

• Half day = 4-5 days/week up to 5 hours a day.
• Part time full day = 2-3 days/week over 5 hours to a maximum of 10 hours a day.
• Part time half day = 2-3 days /week up to 5 hours per day

Rates for Part-time Daycare

• Half Days = $100/week
• Full Day = $43.00/day
• Half Day = $22.00/day

Drop-in Care Registration Fee = $50.00/child/year (based upon day of registration).

• Daily = over 5 hours to a maximum of 10 hours in daycare
• Daily half day = up to 5 hours per day in daycare

Rates for Drop-in Care

• Full Day Drop-in Care = $53.00
• Half Day Drop-in Care = $32.00
• Hourly Drop – in Care = $6.40/hour

Drop in care must be prescheduled by 2 p.m. of the prior day and is based on availability.
